This five day, four night trip is a fascinating journey through the lands between Mt Meru and Ngorongoro Crater.

Accommodation on safari is full board in non-permanent tented camps set up every evening in the heart of Maasailand.

The camels are primarily used to carry camp equipment, but there are riding camels, which accompany the walkers and can be ridden where the terrain allows. The camels also carry refreshments.

Enjoy your coffee or tea and the view of Mt. Meru and then head out for your morning walking or camel safari.

After 3-4 hours safari you will enjoy a picnic lunch in the middle of the savannah that includes fresh local fruit such as mango and pineapple or local chapati (local pancake). In the afternoon you will walk other two hours to reach the mobile camp and then take an afternoon siesta while the guides and assistants prepare for you an amazing tea-break under sunset light.

After a traditional Tanzanian rich dinner you will rest in comfortable tents in the silent bush while night watchmen watch for your security.

As the camp is carried entirely on camel back, please bear in mind that while every effort is made to provide a comfortable camp, a strong adaptation spirit is needed.

Itinerary

Day 1

In the afternoon you reach Ketumbainei, a Maasai village on the West side of Longido.
Accommodation is in simple but comfortable camping tents. Camping toilet and shower facilities are available.

Day 2-4

In the early morning, the camel safari begins. You can choose to ride the camels, or if you prefer, to walk. You will pass on the big plain area between Gilai and Ketumbainei Mountains, which is always full of animals. You will hear during the night the laugh of hyena, and during day you will cross groups of gazelle, zebra and antelopes. In the evening you will relax by a campfire, listening to the savannah sounds under a roof of stars. The accommodation is in comfortable small tents, camping toilet and shower are available.

Day 5
In the morning after breakfast, tourists will start a beautiful walking safari to reach the entrance of Ngorongoro conservation area. The safari finishes at Nayobi village.

Cancellation policy

Reservations that are cancelled, reduced in length of stay or reduced in numbers (hereinafter collectively called a CANCELLATION) are subject to cancellation and 'no show' fees at the discretion of the company under the following terms:

- Between 60 and 31 days prior to departure 0% cancellation fee will be charged;
- Between 30 and seven days prior to departure 50% cancellation fee will be charged;
- Seven days or less, charges will be 100% for cancellation received within the 7 days of arrival.

Children Policy

During Camel safaris, for six to 12 year old children sharing with adults pay 50%.

Children not sharing with parents will be charged at the full rate for the first child and 50% for each subsequent child.

Because of the proximity of wild animals, children under 12 years of age are not encouraged.

Participant Guidelines

The camps offer:

- Camping tents,
- Mattresses,
- Pillows,
- Bed sheets and blankets,
- Towels,
- Chairs and tables,
- Camping toilets and hot water showers.

Please select natural soaps in respect of natural environment.

The price includes:
- Local guides (Maasai and Meru),
- Riding camels,
- Accommodation in small camping tent,

- One night typical Nyama Choma (goat roasts on a barbecue).

The price does not include:
- International flight
- Transfer to camel safari starting point and from camel safari's ending point
- Insurance (Medical and evacuation insurance are required)
- Soft drinks and beer
- Gratuities to staff

There must be a minimum of two participants and a maximum of six
