Ruaha Safari Tanzania – 04 Day

Ruaha National Park is home to vast number of animal such as elephants, leopard buffaloes, lions and cheetahs. There are also crocodiles, turtles, hippos inhabit the Ruaha River, sables and roan antelopes and wild dogs.

The park covers 12,950 square kilometres, with a big area of dry savanna. It is home to more than 10,000 elephants. The forest contains Miombo woodlands, Acacia woodlands, Riverine forests and Terminalia scrub. Ruaha and Rungwa areas are home to 450 bird species.

Ruaha National Park is home to vast number of animal such as elephants, leopard buffaloes, lions and cheetahs. There are also crocodiles, turtles, hippos inhabit the Ruaha River, sables and roan antelopes and wild dogs. Animals that live in the grasslands are grant’s gazelle and the tiny dik – diks.

The road from Dar es Salaam to Iringa Town is tarmac but the roads to and inside the park are not good because they require a 4-wheel drive. It is 10 hours away from Dar es Salaam.

Itinerary

Day 1: Dar es Salaam – Iringa
Pick up from DSM city center hotel or residence. Proceed to Iringa with picnic lunch. Dinner and overnight at the Camp (L,D).

Day 2: Game Drive in Ruaha National Park
After early breakfast, depart to Ruaha National Park for Game drive. Dinner and overnight at the Lodge in the park (B,L,D).

Day 3: Game Drive in Ruaha National Park
After breakfast, Game drive in Ruaha National Park. Later proceed to Iringa. Dinner and overnight at the camp (B,L,D).

Day 4: Iringa – Dar es salaam
After breakfast, start the journey back to DSM with picnic lunch.

Included

Accommodation is on full board basis on safari and bed and breakfast on your first day. Transport in 6 -seater minibuses, game drives, park entrance fees for clients, drivers and vehicles. Bottled water on road safaris in the vehicle.

Excludes:
Beverages, tips, all domestic and international flights, airport taxes and visas.  Items of personal nature such as laundry, telephone calls, faxes and anything that is not mentioned on the above itinerary.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation policy will be effective if cancelled within 30 days of the safari.

– 30 – 15 days: 50% of safari cost
– 15 – 7 days: 75% of safari cost
– Within 7 days or no show: 100% of safari cost

Due to the rustic nature of this tour, appropriate footwear and a torch should be considered mandatory.
